The Alberta Securities Commission hosted a free virtual webinar on Thursday, March 9 to discuss the fundamentals* of NI 51-101 Standards of Disclosure For Oil and Gas Activities. The goal of this webinar was to help issuers avoid missed and deficient filings, and the disruptions, frustrations and additional costs that can result.

During the webinar, ASC staff discussed:

  • The roles and responsibilities of reporting issuers and their professional service providers
  • What qualified reserves evaluators and auditors are, what they do and why it matters

  • NI 51-101 annual filings: what they are, when they are to be filed and some key considerations
