We are pleased to host the Alberta Securities Commission’s (ASC) 2026 Energy Matters Information Session on Thursday, January 29, 2026.
Staff of the ASC’s Energy Group will provide energy-related information and perspectives drawn in part from the recently published 2025 Energy Matters Report.
The following will be discussed:
- Disclosure identified for improvement related to National Instrument 51-101 Standards of Disclosure For Oil and Gas Activities.
- Insights from NI 51-101 disclosure concerning such things as reserves and resources other than reserves, the required annual reserves reconciliation, and production.
- An update on the ASC’s activities concerning climate-related matters.
- Statistics regarding environmental-related sustainability disclosure from Alberta-based reporting issuers.
- Capital market data and analysis concerning energy-related Alberta-based issuers.
